The 2011 season was challenging to say the least. From late spring frosts to early harvest rains, pest and disease pressures plagued California vineyards. The 2012 VINE Symposium will use these challenges as an opportunity to give wine grape growers a look at what can be learned from the 2011 vintage and adapt strategies to deal with them in the future.
Now in its third year, the Central Coast VINE Symposium is recognized as a valuable resource for the California wine grape industry . It's the ONLY viticulture education meeting of its kind in California, and the ONLY wine grape production conference held on the Central Coast.
The primary focus of the meeting is to address the needs and challenges of Central Coast wine grape producers but anyone working in the industry can benefit. With a broad focus and an excellent panel of speakers, VINE is an excellent forum for the California wine grape industry.
VINE is a meeting for growers developed by growers. It is hosted by Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D. and Becky Zelinski -- locals who know and understand the issues that are important to Central Coast wine grape growers. It's the only viticulture production meeting held on the Central Coast and its focus is to addressissues unique to Central Coast wine grape production.
The two-day meeting will be packed with valuable vineyard production topics unique to your vineyard. Educators, research and consultants will share their knowledge and expertise that will help you improve wine grape quality to increase the profitability of your wine grape growing business.
Topics will be presented in a guided-discussion format to encourage speakers and guests to engage in open discussions and share information about ways to produce premium quality wine grapes. The presentations will be practical and applied and provide you with information you can apply to your vineyard production practices immediately!
Get MORE for your money at VINE . The cost to attend VINE is nominal when compared to other meetings. Most meetings cost more than twice as much and DO NOT include everything that's included with your VINE registration.
Why pay more to travel to northern California to hear about issues that aren't relevant to the Central Coast when you can stay home and have the experts and suppliers come to you? Compared to other meetings, VINE isn't just a great value. It's an invaluable meeting that you can't afford to miss!
